Oxygen Multistep Therapy
|
With increasing age and many chronic diseases the oxygen concentration in blood decreases. Simultaneously the arteriovenous oxygen difference diminishes thus indicating a reduced oxygen depletion. The oxygen supply of the body tissue is thus reduced. This is the starting point of the oxygen multistep therapy. On one hand an oxygen concentration occurs and on the other hand a reduction of the venous oxygen, namely an additional oxygen depletion. We distinguish between two forms of oxygen multistep therapy:
The classic method
After the administration of a mixture consisting of vitamins and trace elements 4 l oxygen per minute are inhaled for an hour. A treatment consists of 10 sessions.
Intensive method
Vitamins and trace elements are also administered. However, an oxygen inhalation with up to 24 l oxygen per minute takes place. During this oxygen inhalation the patient exercises on an ergonomic bicycle .The stress load has to be adapted to the patients' condition. This therapy is only recommended for performing persons. The control occurs during and after the therapy by measuring the oxygen concentration in blood. A treatment consists of 6 sessions.
