- October 2006 - 20 Jahre Akupunkturvorlesung - Kieler Nachrichten vom 22.10.2006- Beilage Gesundheitswesen
- August 2006 – In the frame of the congress
of the WHO Academy in Peking our associated member Dr. J.J. Kahoun
(Deutsche Gesellschaft für Aku-Taping) presented the acutaping method and
instructed it in the setting of a course. Im
Rahmen des Kongresses der WHO Akademie in Peking wurde die Methode des
Aku-Taping durch unser Vereinsmitglied Dr. H.J Kahoun (Deutsche
Gesellschaft für Aku-Taping) vorgestellt und im Rahmen eines Kurses
gelehrt.
- July 2006 – The Drs. Hecker and Liebchen
were invited by the Medicos Center of Schalke to make a training in
acutaping with more than 20 physiotherapists and sports scientists. Thus,
the football team of F.C.Schalke 04 is well introduced in the therapeutic
method of acutaping.
- June2006 – the Stiftung Praxissiegel
(foundation Praxissiegel, an initiative of the Bertelsmann foundation)
awarded the first licensing certificates in acupuncture on a federal
level.
The practice Drs.Hecker, Spiegel, Hanopulos-Neumann is aswarded the
certificate of acupuncture of the Stiftung Praxissiegel. Our practice
complies with specific parameters as regards structure, process and result
in the field of acupuncture treatments.
The quality management system for the afore mentioned licensing in
acupunture is the first of this kind and the most comprehensive one on the
international level. A noteworthy feature of the licensing is the
acknowledgement by an internationally renowned independent foundation.
This quality
management system was developed by Dr.Hecker and adapted under the
collaboration of other staff members and colleagues of the Aqua Institute
in Göttingen to the corresponding indicator-related quality criteria.After a pilote phase of approx. one year
on a federal level and subsequent evaluation the Stiftung Praxissiegel
awarded the licensing.

- May 2006 - Only half a year after its
publication the book "Aku-Taping- sanft
gegen den Schmerz" was translated into English .
- May 2006 - after the English and
Portuguese translation the book "Lehrbuch und
Repetitorium Akupunktur" is now also being translated into
Spanish.
- April 2006 – 8 April 2006 – Topic of the
week: Cancer (Kieler Nachrichten) Alternative treatment methods. Interview
with Dr. Hecker, assistant professor for acupuncture and naturopahtic
treatments at the university of Kiel (Germany) 08.04.02006

- January 2006: international book award for

- January 2006: The Medical Faculty of the
Christian Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel awarded the license to operate as
an academic teaching/training practice to the Gemeinschaftspraxis (team
practice) Drs. Hecker, Spiegel, Hanopulos-Neumann. Thus we are the only
medical practice in the federal Republic of Germany to hold both the
accreditation as an academic training practice for the discipline general
medicine, and to be involved in the university teaching due to several
lectureships
- The British Medical Association has labeled
the book "Practice of Acupuncture" with a "highly
commended" in the rubric "therapeutics".This
is the highest international honor so far awarded to a textbook of
acupuncture

- The
professional players of the 1.FC Kaiserslautern (Germany) are, among others,
also treated with the acutaping method developed by Dr.Hecker and Dr. Liebchen.
The team physicians and psysiotherapists were trained by Dr. Hecker for a week-end
in the method of acutaping.
- The book on the method of
acutaping developed by Hecker and Liebchen has just been published.
- The
"color atlas of acupuncture" and "Practice of acupuncture"
are being translated into Portuguese. Thus the books under the
participation of Dr. Hecker belong to the text books on acupuncture being
translated into most of the languages on an international level.
